Dr. Kashinath Samagandi, BAMS, MD (Swasthavritta & Yoga), Ph.D (Swasthavritta and Yoga), Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education, Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy has been appointed as Director, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga w.e.f. 19.3.2024. He was earlier working as a Faculty in National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur. He has been Member of Academic Council, NIA, Jaipur, a Deemed University from 13.5.2021 to till date and Member, Board of Studies for PG, Sri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra from 13.9.2021 to till date and Adjunct Faculty of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University), Wardha, Maharashtra from 4.4.2022 to till date. He has 14 years of experience of clinical research and teaching. During this period he guided 26 Research of PG Students, 2 Ph.D (On-going) and one Post Doctoral Fellowship under FITM, RIS, Ministry of Ayush. He has to his credit 4 publications and 6 Monograms. He has authored 35 Articles/Papers in International and National peer Journals, 6 in Health magazines and 17 News Paper Articles. He has updated talks in more than 204 seminars/workshops as Resource Person/Keynote Speaker/Guest Lecture/Resource Person CME. His interest area are Ayurveda for Poshan, Ayurveda Dietetics and Modulation, Ayurveda way of living (Ayu-Lifestyle) and Yoga in personality Development & Therapeutic Yoga

Vaidya Dr. Samagandi represented the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India at various International forums, like the71st World Health Assembly of WHO at Geneva, Switzerland from 20-25 May, 2018; the 4th IDY 2018 (Celebration at Embassy of India and Beijing) from 15-18 June 2018; As a Yoga Expert and team coordinator in Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Kunming Marathon, Kunming, China; nominated by the Ministry of Ayush as a Yoga and Ayurveda Expert to ‘Namaskar Eurasia 2019’ - an event jointly organized by the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India and FICCI at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan from 8-11 October, 2019; attended the 8th GHF (Geneva Health Forum) at Switzerland, Geneva from 16-18 November 2020 and participated to an event ‘Enhancing Immunity through Ayu formulation and Practices’ on 20.8.2021 in Vietnam.

Besides the above events, he was also associated with National Ayurveda Day Conference on Ayurveda for Poshan on the occasion of 6th Ayurveda Day, Ayush Export & Food Festival sponsored by the Ministry of Ayush and organized by NIA in 2022, Ayush Ahara and Food Technologies held at Goa on 8-1`1 December 2022, Saundharya 2019 International Conference on Skin, Hair and Eye organized by NIAl Jaipur, Supraja Nirmeeti workshop on Beeja Samskara and Garbha Samskara organized on 24-25 December 2019 by NIA, Jaipur. Vaidya Dr. Samagandi stood first in Karnataka MD Common Entrance Test in Swasthavritta and Yoga and was conferred Best paper Award for Oral Presentation entitled “Elementary Appraisal On Traditional Excellence in post “Traumatic Disorder” in 5th International Ayurveda Day Celebration from 11-18 December, 2015 at Vaidyagrama Ayurveda Heling Village, Coimbatore,Tamilnadu. In 2014, he was also conferred with the Ganga Sahaya Joshi “Ayurveda Parangata Dhanwantari Award by the Vedic Samskriti Prachara Samhiti, in the presence of Rajasthan State Cabinet Minister of Women and Social Welfare Justice Dr. Arun Chaturvedi.

• Besides his normal teaching/research activities, he was involved in multifarious activities like:    
• Member of the War Room constituted by the Ayush Ministry for celebration of Global Ayush Invention and Innovative Summate at Gandhinagar, Gujarat in 2022.
• Core Committee Member from Ayush Ministry for Ist Global Conference on Traditional Medicine, organized by WHO and Ministry of Ayush at Gandhinar in 2023
• Rapporteur in India-Africa Workshop on sharing practical experiences,information and expertise on Traditional Medicine- in September 2011
